I. Safety operation specifications
Personal protection:
It is mandatory to wear anti-cut gloves, goggles and safety helmets (when carrying large-sized glass) to avoid cuts or splash injuries caused by broken glass.
Wear a particle mask when in contact with dust (such as during edge grinding) to prevent pneumoconiosis.
Equipment operation ban:
It is forbidden to open the protective cover during operation, and it is strictly forbidden to process glass with cracks or hidden scratches (which may cause explosions).
Stop the machine immediately in case of sudden power outage or failure, and do not forcibly remove the fragments or continue to operate.
II. Key points of process control
Edge grinding process:
Prevention of edge collapse and burrs
Grinding wheel maintenance: Regularly sharpen or replace the diamond grinding wheel (passivation will cause burrs), and the new wheel needs to be pre-ground and activated with waste glass.
Parameter matching:
Thickness ≤ 8mm: single grinding amount < 2.5mm, feed speed < 2.5m/min;
Thickness 10-19mm: single grinding amount < 1.5mm, feed speed < 1.5m/min.
Cooling guarantee: Cooling water pressure ≥ 0.6MPa, insufficient flow can easily lead to thermal cracking or burnt edges of glass.
Edge processing quality:
The fillet radius is matched according to the thickness (standard 2-10mm) to avoid stress concentration caused by too small fillets.
Check burrs after edge grinding, and use fine sandpaper to manually trim minor burrs. Severe burrs require adjustment of equipment parameters or replacement of grinding wheels.

Original film quality control
Scan the original film for impurities (stones, bubbles) before cutting, and the glass that exceeds the standard needs to be removed or the qualified part cut.
Edge grinding (rough grinding/fine grinding) must be done before tempering, and the self-explosion rate of unground glass is significantly increased. Sealing of insulating glass
Use deionized water for cleaning to avoid residual water stains affecting adhesiveness.
Slotted aluminum hollow glass needs to be film-removed (Low-E glass), and the film-removal width covers the glue layer area to prevent sealing failure.
III. Equipment and environmental management
Equipment maintenance:
Regularly calibrate the parallelism of the conveyor rails. Loosening of the pressure plate will cause the glass to sink or the diagonal deviation to be greater than 1mm.
The PU/rubber pressure belt of the edge grinding machine needs to be tightened to prevent the glass from shifting and causing uneven bright edges.
Environment and storage:
Avoid alternating hot and cold environments when storing glass. Long-term hot and cold cycles of tempered glass will accelerate aging.
Use a dedicated A/L rack during transportation, fasten the safety belt and make the passage flat (pits and slopes are prone to tipping).
